About Glycolic Peeling ……
The Glycolic Acid Peel is derived from sugar cane and has the smallest molecular structure of the AHA family and therefore can penetrate into the skin much more effectively than other Ahas. It is not absorbed into the body and will not cause any systematic side effects like chemicals used in other peels.
A gentle Glycolic acid peel can be performed with varying percentages of Glycolic acid. The Glycolic loosens the “glue like” attachments or cellular cement that is characteristic of many skin conditions such as ageing, ache, skin discoloration and course texture. After just a few weeks your skin will appear brighter, clearer and dry skin becomes hydrated and smooth.
Glycolic acid also helps reduce cell “build up” at the lower levels of the skin. The facial procedure will resurface the skin giving dramatic softer, smoother texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing scarring.

The treatment starts with a consultation in the salon and the use of the Jan Marini Pre Peel kit at home for 2 weeks prior to your salon peel treatment – even after this the results can be fantastic.

The treatment takes only 30 minutes – the skin may feel a little tingly and there may be slight redness for a short while but most people feel able to go straight back to the office or shopping.
A one off treatment will be sufficient to give your skin a boost but typically a course of 3 to 6 at one treatment per week is required to achieve best results.
